Finding My Voice: A Journey Inspired by Sinbad the Rooster
Have you ever witness a young rooster mastering the art of crowing? Imagine a comical "cock-a-doodle-don't" stand-up routine, akin to a teenager's vocal experiments, cracking voice and all!
Our rooster Sinbad's initial crow was cute but laughable. However, overtime it evolved into his authentic voice. Now he stands majestically over his flock as he proudly belts out his crow every morning, and sometimes randomly during the day too!
Sinbad’s journey in a light hearted way parallels my own quest for a voice in motherhood, project leadership, and writing—a gradual symphony of self-discovery. Each role, like our rooster's attempts at crowing, has been a process of exploration and refinement. As a mom, it involves confidently guiding my kids, even though there are moments when my voice seems to get lost amidst the chaos of the teenage years. In project leadership, it's about finding a resonant rhythm with the team. Then there is discovering my writing voice and uncovering the style that resonates with me.
Like our rooster, finding my voice in all these aspects has shaped and strengthened who I am today, and I anticipate it will change again as I continue to grow and learn.
